Nicole McLoughlin's Bio
Nicole McLoughlin is a SAMS® Accredited Marine Surveyor® for Yachts and Small Crafts. She is also an IAMI® Certified Marine Investigator®, a PADI® Divemaster®, and a past Canadian Regional Director for the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® and a former Board Member of Brigantine Inc. where she crewed and sailed as Captain, as well as ASTA, now Tall Ships America where she interned at the first Great Lakes Tall Ships Challenge. Nicole McLoughlin Attended Queen’s University and is a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship, Yacht Survey & Damage classes and pursues continuing education regularly. Nicole McLoughlin has lived and worked in the Caribbean as a Staff Surveyor for claims handling, charter fleet compliance, MCA coding surveys, audio gauging, stability and tonnage measurements for all vessel types and materials, the US as a Loss Prevention Consultant for a marine Underwriter. Nicole is currently home in Ontario, Canada as the owner of McLoughlin Marine Surveying & Consulting Ltd. Nicole continues to be an advocate for marine training & mentoring and sails whenever she can.
