Tips From A boat surveyor For Spring Launch

Happy Cruising!
1
Take A Look At Safety Gear

As spring approaches, and preparations begin for launch, take a look at safety gear. Firstly, is everything aboard for your crew in working order or up to date? In addition, if something needs to be replaced, replace it with a new replacement?

2
Check Lifejackets - PFD’s

Check life jackets (PFD’s) for tears. Also, clean or dry material and that can be stowed in a readily accessible location.

3
Personal Locator Beacons

If whistles or PLB’s (Personal Locator Beacons) are fitted, do they work?

4
Manually Inflating The Automatic Inflatable PFD’s

Have you considered manually inflating the automatic inflatable PFD’s?

5
Are The CO2 Cartridge's Dates Green?

Don’t forget: Test all Smoke, CO2, Gas, and High Water Bilge alarms.
